Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is a procedure that involves insertion of a narrow telescope-like instrument through the vagina and cervix into the cavity of the uterus to inspect if there are any abnormal uterine conditions such as internal fibroids, scarring, endometrial polyps, and congenital malformations. Operative hysteroscopy can treat many of the abnormalities found during diagnostic hysteroscopy at the same time as diagnostic hysteroscopy or at a later date.
